

This 2008 Mazdaspeed3 was my first car and taught me so much. From the factory the car came with 263 horsepower to the crank and 280 ft pounds of torque. When I sold it after 3 great years of ownership it was making 370 horsepower with 355 ft pounds of torque. A gain of over 100 horsepower is pretty great and I was very happy with it. Besides the improvement in acceleration and top speed I also improved the handling. I added a coilover system to the car and an improved sway bar. A lot of the work was done by my friends and I but more of the major things had to be done by a performance shop called Speed six performance. Overall my friends and I spent countless hours modifying this car and I was very happy with it.
